In May 2014, "Warrior" Wil Davis was diagnosed with Stage IV Ewing's
Sarcoma, a rare children's cancer in the soft tissue. He is currently
following a 42-week Children’s Oncology Group protocol treatment that
has proven effective. Our warrior receives inpatient chemo every three
weeks at VCU and had surgery at the end of July on his femur to remove
the primary tumor. After only two rounds of chemo, the masses on Wil's
lungs had dissipated 75 percent! The surgeon believes that no surgery
will be needed in his lungs. Our engaging 10-year-old boy is a sports
nut! He loves football, basketball, baseball, lacrosse, tennis and golf.
Wil's hope for the spring of 2015 is to be able to play sports again -
his absolute favorite thing to do! He says, "God gives him the strength
he needs to get through this." We have been blessed with the support of
family, friends and kids' cancer organizations, such as Cookies for
Kids' Cancer. No one fights ALONE!
