Priscilla Witte

Hello! I'm Priscilla Carpenter Witte, a Los Angeles based illustrator, painter, and muralist.  I was born and raised in Clinton, New York, a small town outside of the Adirondacks. Since I was a kid I have always had such a strong love for the arts. Whether it be trips to a museum, supporting local theater, attending opera with my dad, listening to my uncle play guitar, or taking art courses such as photography, drawing, painting and sculpture. At 19 yrs old, after 2 years of dabbling in child psychology, I took a fateful summer trip to Southern California and never looked back. It was instant love! The California lifestyle and sunshine had a direct effect on me and how I wanted to live the next (now 13) years of my life. With the new places to see, new friends, new experiences and new adventures I was living amongst, I immediately was fueled by the need to capture and create! I had a stint in photography for a while, but ultimately it left me wanting more. It was only in my late 20’s that I started drawing again. After producing a small collection of works, I had my first show at a friend’s loft space (thank you Ericson!) in Venice which was a total success and a driving force for me to keep making art. Little by little projects started coming my way. As people started recognizing my work, it became a snowball effect for more work!  Soon enough I was painting murals at some of the top restaurants and tech companies in Los Angeles, sent to NY to create custom kicks for vogue editors, and flown to Croatia to paint a mural as well as sketch pieces for the rooms of a boutique hotel. I traveled to Russia to paint a life guard tower on the Black Sea, and was then flown to Italy to be the artist in residence for the Catalyst Art Retreat in Tuscany. Next stop Bali, Indonesia to paint a home! These experiences have changed my life, and have made me a better person. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with some wonderful companies such as GT’s Kombucha, WeTransfer, Budlight, Redbull, Schwarzhopf, Keds, Ipsy, Nordstrom, Top Shop, Credit Karma, Marriott...to name a few. I feel very LUCKY and at times it feels unreal to me. My style is simplistic, to the point, quirky, relatable, and most importantly ME! :)
