Geoffrey Zakarian

Throughout a career spanning 30 years, Geoffrey Zakarian has made his mark as a chef restaurateur known for his sophisticated taste and signature style.

As owner of The Lambs Club and The National in the discerning heart of midtown Manhattan, Geoffrey combines his classical training with his passion for the finer things in life and a belief that simple is beautiful. He currently oversees the food and beverage program at The Water Club at Borgata in Atlantic City and, in May 2013, partnered with Norwegian Cruise Lines to bring two unique dining concepts, Ocean Blue and The Raw Bar, to their Breakaway and Getaway luxury vessels.

In a recent master stroke, Geoffrey has accepted the prestigious role of culinary director for The Plaza and will breathe new life into the iconic hotel's The Palm Court, The Oak Room, The Oak Bar, The Rose Club, The Champagne Bar and In-Room Dining for 2014.

Outside of his work in the kitchen, Geoffrey is also an accomplished author and notable television personality. In 2006, Clarkson Potter published his debut book, Geoffrey Zakarian's Town/Country, and his second cookbook, The Perfect Pantry, will hit shelves in Fall 2014.

In addition to his status as a longtime favorite judge on Food Network's Chopped and as an Iron Chef, Zakarian continues his television presence with a new Food Network series, The Kitchen, which premiered in January 2014. He has also assumed the role of Chairman of the City Harvest Food Council, which works with the food industry's support to fight hunger in New York City.
