I became involved with Cookies for Kids' Cancer after my youngest son, Daniel, was diagnosed with leukemia in December of 2010. I wanted to help find a way to help raise money for childhood cancer research, and started looking into the different organizations that helped children with cancer.
Right away CFKC jumped out at me. I loved the concept and the mission of the organization, and knew that I had a lot of good friends that would be willing to help me. So far I have hosted 6 bake sales in our area, and just helped a friend host her first one. The bake sales have been so much fun to do, and I have met so many great people, and have also met several people that have been personally impacted by a childhood cancer diagnosis.
I am honored to be a Good Cookie Ambassador. I know that if weren't for people supporting organizations committed to finding a cure for childhood cancer, that my son wouldn't be here today, and I know that we are meant to help and do all that we can so that one day the cure rate will be 100%.
