Keren Weiner

Pastry Chef

Born and raised in Tel-Aviv, Israel, Keren Weiner’s family meals centered on fresh, local produce, and inspired her love of cooking at the earliest age. After studying visual arts and working as a 3D animator for several years, Keren decided to forego long days in front of a computer screen to follow her passion for the kitchen, get her hands dirty and use all of her senses.

She moved to New York City, graduated from the French Culinary Institute’s Pastry Program in 2006, and paved her way through the kitchens of Chanterelle and Gramercy Tavern to finally land as the pastry chef of Il Buco and Il Buco Alimentari & Vineria. Keren recently left Il Buco and replaced concocting gelato flavors with consulting on different exciting projects in NYC and concocting her own next venture.
