Michael Toscano is widely recognized in New York for his seasonal and authentic approach to Italian food. Most recently, he served as the executive chef and partner of Perla, Montmartre & Jeffrey's Grocery from its opening in 2011 until January 2015.
He honed his skills at Babbo, and Manzo, before taking the helm at Perla, where he received a nod from Esquire, and The New York Times (2 stars). He is a James Beard Semi-finalist, a Starchefs Rising Star Chef, and part of this year's Zagat 30 Under 30.
He and his wife, Caitlin, have two children, Julian and Marley.
