A native of Fairfax, Virginia, Jack cooked in Virginia and DC before moving to New York at the age of 23. Upon his arrival in the city, he landed a job in the kitchen at Babbo. He worked there for two years before leaving to help open Manzo, Eataly's formal dining experience emphasizing meat. From Manzo, he joined Gabriel Stulman's Happy Cooking Hospitality as part of the opening team at Perla, serving first as the Chef de Cuisine for many years before becoming the Executive Chef in early 2015. Jack brings his knowledge of Italian tradition and passion for ingredients and technique to the modern Italian menu at Perla, located in Manhattan's Greenwich Village.
