Eric is a Charlotte native and grew up in the Dilworth neighborhood and has been in the industry for 30 years now. Currently he is the Executive Chef at The Porter’s House. He tactfully blends Asian, Southern, and classic chophouse flavors in each dish, made with as much in-season, locally-sourced product as possible. His first cooking experience was at the side of his mother, making pasta. He started working in a professional kitchen washing dishes for his uncle at the age of fourteen and has been immersed in restaurants ever since then. He has always enjoyed food, be it simple or exquisite and is passionate about creating dishes that will leave his guests with new and exciting flavors.
