United We Stand Against Childhood Cancer

GROUP OVERVIEW
$17,059.37 raised

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month and Cookies for Kids Cancer is teaming up with Momcology to raise money for pediatric cancer research. Momcology is a support group for mothers of children who have or have had cancer.  Momcology members Jane Schmit Fisher, Robin Chambers, Emily Shaffer, Jenny Foss Puzzo and Julie Major are uniting to raise funds in honor of our kids Lydia, Mason, Emma, Ben and Noah. We are having a bake sale at Market in the Valley (Golden Valley Sunday Farmers Market) located at 7800 Golden Valley Road (under the water tower). The bake sale will be from 9am to 1pm. If you can't make it to the bake sale, please consider an online donation to help fund childhood cancer research in September.

It might come as a surprise to learn that pediatric cancer is the #1 disease killer of children in the U.S. And two-thirds of children who do survive will develop long-term side effects, including secondary cancers and organ failure, a result of the very treatments that once “cured” them. This is why it is critical we find safer, more effective treatments for their conditions and this is why we are uniting to join the fight.

We don't want anyone else to hear those 4 little words "your child has cancer." The money you give will help us to achieve that goal.
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation today in support of our fundraising efforts. You can make an on-line donation with your credit card by clicking on the "donate" button on this page.

Our goal is to raise $5,000 before, after and during our bake sale. I hope you will “Be a Good Cookie” and support our efforts. Every dollar counts and every small act makes a difference.  Your donation is of tremendous importance in our mission to change the prognosis for the 40,000 children actively battling cancer in the U.S. right now.

We also ask that you reach out to others you know and inspire them to follow in your footsteps. Help us spread the word. Because if we all do a little, it adds up to a lot!
