What does my donation support?
When you support Cookies for Kids' Cancer, be assured you are making a difference in the fight against pediatric cancer. The funds you raise are granted to
five of the nation's leading pediatric cancer centers to support development of safer, more effective cancer treatments.
As of 2013, a portion of funds raised is used to match the federal allowance per child enrolled in the
Children's Oncology Group's Phase I & Pilot Consortium, consisting of 21 research hospitals nationwide. In doing so, more children have access to treatments they otherwise would not have been able to receive.
Do you have local chapters?
Cookies for Kids' Cancer is a national non-profit foundation headquartered in Califon, N.J. Our fundraising focus is on individual grassroots efforts from coast to coast, rather than a handful of local chapters. We have supporters in over 4,500 cities nationwide as well as 16 countries around the globe. We encourage anyone, anywhere with an interest in getting involved at any level.

Why is Cookies for Kids' Cancer not listed on Charity Navigator?
A charity must have 7 complete years of tax returns before they are eligible to apply for inclusion on Charity Navigator.Founded in late 2008, Cookies for Kids' Cancer will be eligible to apply in 2015.
Is my donation tax deductible?
YES. Cookies for Kids' Cancer is a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation, so your gifts are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowable bylaw. Donations of stock/securities are also welcome as are donations in kind.Please consult your tax adviser for details.

Can my company match the donations raised at my stand or event?
Yes! Requesting a matching grant from your employers is a great way to increase the earnings of your event and your support of Cookies for Kids' Cancer. Your human resources department should be able to let you know if your company offers matching gift programs, and will also provide you with the form you will need to complete and send to us along with your donation.

How much of the money goes directly to research?
Cookies for Kids' Cancer keeps overhead costs as low as possible, ensuring nearly every penny of each dollar raised will go directly to research. Each year it varies slightly. In 2012, expenses for things like shipping, cookie costs, event starter kits, and the very small team that keeps the organization going accounted for about 15% total revenue.
Can I organize an event other than a bake sale?
Of course! We welcome anyone and everyone to find a way to get involved. While many supporters opt to host bake sales to raise funds, events of all shapes and sizes are happening across the country. From 5Ks to penny drives to a Mom Prom, the opportunities are endless.
