Cookie swaps are a fun, simple way to join the fight against childhood cancers. Read about a few of the Good Cookies who have made a big difference for children battling cancer by swapping cookies. Then be inspired to organize your own cookie swap!
Make a list of anyone you can ask to join. You may choose to host a get-together where guests exchange cookies, or you may choose to host it online and open it up to those further away. Either way,
REGISTER your swap with us so we can begin providing you with tools, tips and inspiration! You'll even be given a personal fundraising page where others can donate directly to your event online!
Spread the Word
Ask each person to make a small donation to Cookies for Kids' Cancer when they sign up or RSVP. We recommend directing guests to donate to your fundraising page OR collecting donations from participants and mailing them in all at once. The amount you ask for is entirely up to you. Go SOCIAL - create a FB page where you and your swappees can engage, share ideas, recipes, etc. Encourage them to spread the word, and invite others to join the swap. Share the link to your personal fundraising page often and encourage those who can't attend your cookie swap to make an online donation towards your event.
Select cookie recipes and get baking! Decide how many cookies each participant should bake. For virtual events, collect participant names and addresses in a spreadsheet, select a swapper for each swappee, and give each the other's information.
How you swap is up to you! Some choose traditional cookie swaps. You could also choose to swap recipes, make a game of it, or provide each participant with another's name and address, and have them bake and send cookies to each other. If you need guidance or ideas, just ask! Ready to get swapping?
