Host a Bake Sale!

Getting Started

Once you have an idea when and where you'd like to host your Cookies for Kids' Cancer bake sale, REGISTER with us. When you register your event, you will receive tons of helpful tools, tips and even a personal fundraising page where you can collect online donations. The Cookies for Kids' Cancer event team will also help guide you each step of the way.

Spreading the Word

Put up fliers and signs around your community promoting your bake sale. Reach out to local newspapers and TV stations. Most importantly, BE SOCIAL. The more people who know about your efforts, the more funds you can raise for childhood cancer research! Use social media to advertise your event, and don't forget to join us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram for updates, ideas and endless amounts of Good Cookie inspiration.

Once you've customized your personal fundraising page, share the link with others and encourage those who can't attend your bake sale to donate directly to your efforts online.

More Tips for Success

  • Get your local bakeries to donate items.
  • Gather students and neighborhood kids together for a pre-bake sale decorating party. Let the kids decorate posters or create artwork to sell for donations at your bake sale.
  • Choose a high-traffic location, like in front of a grocery store or shopping center.
  • Brand your event using our helpful tools & templates. And REGISTER with us -- we'll help promote your event and provide exclusive resources only available to registered bake sale hosts.

After your bake sale, send in the donations you've collected. Gather any checks, cash and pledges and send in together.

Boonton Township Annual Bake Sale

Every year, Good Cookie Sue Turi-Ananian organizes a bake sale at Boonton Township's annual Lacrosse tournament, an event the entire community looks forward to attending. The first bake sale was held in 2011, and they have raised more than $10,000 for childhood cancer since! Sue involves the whole community - Girl Scouts use their cookie-selling expertise, local kids push wagons filled with goodies around the field and everyone enjoys coming together beforehand to decorate and paint signs. Millburn Good Cookies

Since 2012, a dedicated group of Good Cookies in Millburn, NJ has organized a city-wide bake sale during the month of May. They have inspired schools, individuals and nearly 30 businesses around the community to get involved, and their efforts have raised $50,000 for childhood cancer research to date!
